I’ve always said ‘if ya haven’t heard from me you should be very concerned or very excited.’ Well friends I have been rather quiet this year and it’s because my life was under construction. I’ve taken personal time to reflect, restructure and decide what it is I really want. I have been so blessed in this life, having all the resources and experiences many can only dream of, but at the end of the day will those memories be enough? For me, the answer was no. The only true way for me to feel like I’ve experienced it all was entrepreneurship.
The next step was to determine what it was that I felt the most passionate about, that was underserved in the market place. As it turned out the answer was right in front of me, or more precisely on top of my head… Hair Extensions! Over the past few years I had witnessed and experienced the journey of better hair extension options with my long time stylist and friend, Bianca. The identification of superior quality hair extensions had become a part of my beauty routine and ultimately an extension of my own brand as a media personality. Partnering with her to take her vision of this specialty company to the next level seemed like a natural fit and something I was truly excited to delve into.
So I’d like to introduce our “baby” BLONC a Hair Extension Salon and Virgin Hair Retail Boutique. This concept salon serves all clients hair extension needs in a personalized, informative and upscale space powered by IKEA Centennial. After months of improving the space and services our Flagship store is now open in Denver’s Golden Triangle, with the plan for additional locations in various cities around the country underway! This is more than a salon, it’s a lifestyle, and I couldn’t be more proud of my business partner and myself for adding a new element to the beauty industry.
In the next few months you’ll hear more from us about the process of how we came to be what we are today. You’ll also get a behind the scenes look at the build out with our partner IKEA Centennial. We’ve been very hard at work building a brand and a legacy. THAT is something that I can feel fulfilled about when I reflect on my life, after all “if you don’t build your dream someone will hire you to help build theirs.” And that’s my update… For now…
